2015 Cass Tech running back Mike Weber kept the Technician-to-Ann Arbor pipeline alive Wednesday night when he committed to Michigan after an unofficial visit. Cass Tech coach, Cash Caldwell, gave The D Zone some incite as to the type of player Michigan will be getting.

“What doesn't he bring? Best player in the state, and I don't think that's biased. Versatility, athleticism, toughness, you name he has it.”

“He can fit any system, pro-style or spread.”

“Speed, quickness, power and physicality. He has good vision, has some of the best hands I've seen, and I've coached some pretty good wr's and rb’s.”

“One thing he does that many people don't know is throws the ball exceptionally well. He's just a heckuva a player.”

“Not sure who to compare him too, but if used appropriately and adequately, you're talking future B1G (Big Ten) P.O.Y. (player of the year), Doak Walker, maybe even Heisman.”

“We all know football is a team game, but if all the pieces are around him, he should have a great career.”

“Underrated talent? Probably his return game ability, or pass catching. He has great hands.”
