We highlighted Reed City 2019 RB/CB Phillip Jones in week 8 this year as he led the state in rushing statistics. Not much has changed for the incredible playmaker 4 weeks later.

Jones has 34 rushing touchdowns for the year which are the most in the state of Michigan as we haven't came across another runningback in the state who has 30+ rushing touchdowns.

Jones has 2,049 rushing yards which trails Calen Gilling of Gaylord St. Mary Cathedral by 16 yards for the most yards in the state at Runningback.

Jones and his Coyotes run a run-first wing-t offense with the QB under center and 3 RB/FB's lined up behind the offensive line and a tight end. The concept is utilizing ball fakes and pound the ball. Jones is 5'7" 155 lbs and finds the hole behind a nice offensive line and then has a nice cut/vision to burst up field. Once Jones is in the open field he uses his blazing speed to take advantage of the space and as you see he has 34 touchdowns on the year to nail home that point.

Jones, 34 touchdowns this year are tied at #10 overall along with current Michigan Collegiate QB Tracy Hubbard and a few other Runningbacks from the past for the most rushing touchdowns in a single season.

Jones recently took his first recruiting visit to Northwood University.
