Farmington Hills Harrison 2019 CB/RB Rod Heard received his 7th Division 1 offer from Northern Illinois on Monday afternoon.
Heard this past weekend had a nice game on both sides of the ball as Harrison lost to the top ranked, Muskegon Big Reds who ran the ball around 45 times.
Heard late in the year emerged as one of the best players in all of Division 3 and Oakland County as he became a reliable weapon as a RB and maintained his elite CB skills en-route to Harrison winning 4 straight playoff games and John Herrington becoming the most winningest head coach in Michigan history.

- Player Analysis
8/23/2017: An unfortunate injury in track disabled him from performing in front of colleges this summer, so now that, that's in the past look for the Hawks CB to be in the discussion as one of the best cornerbacks in the state in 2019. Heard is a physical, lock-down type corner, who covers extremely well and suffocates receivers. Heard has elite ball skills and tracks the ball great. He can cover the 6'3+ receivers well.
College interest: As stated above there's a huge gap in his process this summer. Heard holds 5 offers. In these next 2 years, he'll be receiving more heavy interest.
