Lansing Waverly is at it again. Just a week after 2015 DL Deonte Braxton committed to Northern Michigan University, teammate Austin Edwards 2015 TE/DE has committed to Ferris State University.

Edwards started his career as a freshman DE on varsity in Texas playing for Taft High School. "I started my freshman and sophomore year in Texas." said Edwards. "My coach really pushed me to be the best player I could be and I owe that to him."

Edwards had a major change when he moved to Michigan. "Going from a role player to a play maker is big," said Edwards. Edwards became a major play maker at Waverly. He led the team in tackles on defense and receptions on offense his senior year. "It was a crazy transition but I made it work." said Edwards.

"Ferris has a great coaching staff and family environment. I felt at home there." answered Edwards when asked why he decided on Ferris State. Edwards feels like he could have a major impact on an already dominate defense. "It will be interesting to see what happens." said Edwards.

Edwards committed on January 26th and will be signing his National Letter of Intent February 4th at Waverly High School.
