Cranbrook-Kingswood 2019 ATH Kobi Russell discusses first offer and other recruiting notes
Cranbrook-Kingswood 2019 “ATH” Kobi Russell received his first offer yesterday from Cornell.
At 6-foot-2, 180-pounds the lengthy corner who doubles as a wide receiver knows this opportunity doesn’t come to everybody.
“It was always a goal of mine to get an offer, and I knew I had the potential but work was needed,” says Russell.
With spring break coming up for Russell he’s trying to get on campus of Cornell as soon as next week.
“I'm looking to get out there next week. I Might visit Columbia and Colgate while in New York.”
Although Russell has worked hard for the first offer he knows in order to keep the offers coming in he’ll need to continue to keep working and have a strong senior season at Cranbrook-Kingswood.
“I hope to get bigger and faster and do whatever I need to help my team reach our full potential this fall.”
Russell was a 2nd team All-State selection in 2017. An equally impressive 2018 could get the attention of Big Ten coaches as Northwestern among others have already shown interest
