Utica 2018 CB/Slot Kavon Higdon committed to Lawrence Tech University over the weekend. The Blue Devils will be adding an explosive and shifty playmaker who can change any game around with his skill set.

When Higdon was offered by Lawrence Tech several months ago, he mentioned he had a dream he was wearing blue while playing football in college.

The following comments are from Higdon in September 2017, "Last week I had a dream about me playing college ball and I was in a blue uniform. Didn’t say what college or what team, all I remember was blue." Lawrence Tech's primary color is blue.

Higdon continued, "The next day I hit up Cam Mitchell (my brother and teammate from Utica and he attends LTU) and we talked and he mentioned about me going to LTU. The same day Coach Aubin texted me telling me how their whole staff loved my film and wanted me to come out to a Sunday practice. Throughout the week I ended up speaking with Coach Duvendeck and Coach Mckeown. They are all great guys and we all just connected a bond I believe in just one week."

"Today I visited LTU met up with my bro Cam Mitchell and he showed me around the campus. I love the area and the University! I went to a position meeting, met all the coaches, and players. I love the feeling there! It was very welcoming and just a great atmosphere. I believe LTU is a great place to potentially further my football career and study software engineering. I mean it is in the top 5 for engineering schools in the state of Michigan."
