Rising Stars training academy hosted their 4th week of 7on7 which featured several teams full of Rising Stars athletes being coached by coaches in the program as well as other 7on7 programs; Michigan Elite, 475 Training, and Z6NE Football.

475 A finished at the top of the table with an 11-1 record. Next weekend they'll have a championship weekend to determine the champion.

The D Zone has made our way through most off-season events this year and we'll continue to provide our evaluations of the top performers from each event we attend, this week its, Rising Stars 7on7.

- Video Highlights from the 7on7

Offensive Showstopper:

Flushing 2020 WR Joe Jaruzel - The 6'3 180 lbs receiver was simply unstoppable all day long. Jaruzel's Rising Stars Grey team went 3-0 on the day and Jaruzel was around double-digit receptions during the day. Jaruzel made a top 10 play of the day with a leaping catch in double-coverage and his size/speed combo was too much for opponents.

Quarterbacks:

Brother Rice 2020 QB Greg Piscopink is 6'2 185 lbs with a very strong arm and has good accuracy. His passes that needed to be placed in windows weren't lofted, instead had some very good velocity. The Michigan Elite QB was in our opinion the top performing QB of the weekend.

Country Day 2020 QB Ahlon Mitchell is a 5'11 165 dual-threat QB who had a nice day throwing the ball and giving his receivers some good throws to work with. Mitchell placed some great balls to his receivers and the team went 3-0 over the weekend (Rising Stars Grey).

Davison 2021 QB Brendan Sullivan is a 6'3 170 lbs upcoming dual-sport QB for Davison. Sullivan will take over for 2-year starting QB Cannon Hall who signed with Northwood this week. Sullivan does move pretty well for his size and took all the reps for 475 A over the weekend, he had a lot of very well placed balls and made a lot of good decisions.

Bloomfield Hills 2021 QB Tanner Slazinski is a 6'3 170 lbs QB who split snaps with Ahlon Mitchell on the RS Grey team. Slazinski had a strong start to the day but lost some consistency towards the end of the day.

Livonia Churchill 2021 QB Gavin Brooks is a 5'11 185 lbs QB who took all the snaps for the Rising Stars White team. In 4 7on7's Brooks was pretty solid, he found the players with hot hands and let them make plays.

Saginaw Heritage 2020 QB Keegan Robertson is a 6' 205 lbs strong-armed QB for Z6NE A, he had a slow start but picked it up and was able to make some big throws.

Divine Child 2022 QB Vincent Booth is a 6' 175 lbs QB on Michigan Elite who threw well and will be a name to look out for. Divine Child graduates 2 seniors QB's so it'll be interesting to see if Booth rises to the top.

Grand Blanc 2021 QB Dion Brown impressively led 475 B over the weekend. He made some good throws and remained accurate through the day as 475 B went 3-0.

Receivers, Tight Ends, and Runningbacks:

West Bloomfield WR/TE Chase Glover had to of caught the most passes among anyone. The 6'5 200 lbs WR/TE is an outstanding dual-sport athlete who plays basketball at WB and was on the Playmakers 16U team last year. Glover's future is obviously on the football field as he's a big, physical, and aggressive player receiver that we can say right now, will be a valuable recruit to a college. - Rising Stars White.

Flint Beecher 2020 WR/S Earnest Sanders is another outstanding receiver / dual-sport (The Family 17U) and showed for 475 A why he's a top 10 in-state recruit. The 6'3 190 lbs receiver constantly drew attention from defenses but showed his athleticism with a tough fade touchdown reception and ran his routes well. Sanders picked up Iowa State and Washington State offers this week.

Walled Lake Western 2020 WR Abdur-Rahmaa Yaseen who is committed to Northwestern is a very solid 6'1 180 lbs receiver who has good speed and practically, perfect hands. Yaseen was very reliable for Rising Stars White and caught a very difficult pass over his shoulder for a touchdown.

Grand Blanc 2020 WR Latrell Fordham is a 6'4 170 receiver with legitimate speed. We saw him all summer long on the 1Nation 16U basketball team. The 475 A receiver took a slant and outran the defense. Fordham caught a tough fade that was overthrown, but couldn't land a foot in bounds. We've seen Fordham produce during the season, this is one very overlooked receiver at this point.

Swan Valley 2020 WR/CB Ethan Champney is a 6'3 185 lbs receiver who is physical, fast, and rangy. He's developed into a very solid prospect in the past year and still shows plenty of upside. Champney had the play of the weekend with a wonderful 1-handed interception to break the heart of the receiver who was ready to start his TD celebration dance.

Flint Carman-Ainsworth 2020 WR/CB Norman Montgomery lit up the scoreboard and was a reason 475 A was able to exploit defenses. Montgomery is a fast player who is definitely a player we'll be paying attention to.

Detroit King 2019 WR/S Jalen McGaughy has missed a significant amount of time the past 2 seasons due to injuries, so the Ball State signee is one of a few seniors playing and its good for him to get as many reps as possible before heading off to college. McGaughy is 6'3 190 and played on Michigan Elite Silver.

Brother Rice 2020 WR/S Ben Sacco is a 6'4 195 lbs receiver who stood out big time this weekend with a few nice catches. Defensively he had 2 game-sealing interceptions and showed just how dangerous he is with jump balls. Sacco holds 2 early JUCO offers. - Rising Stars Grey

Dakota 2020 WR Darden Davis is a 6'3 200 lbs vertical threat who had a standout day for Rising Stars Grey. Davis was behind a few seniors last year and has the potential for a big senior season. - Rising Stars Grey

Clarkston 2021 TE/OT/DE Blake Kosin is a 6'6 200 lbs prospect who was definitely a player that stood out for Michigan Elite Red. Kosin is a long and physically gifted player who should be having a major impact on Clarkston these next two years.

Saginaw Heritage 2020 WR Brady Dinninger had a big day for Z6NE A as one of their go-to receivers and is a nice / long receiver who also showed some elusiveness in the open field.

Clarkston Everest 2019 WR Nino Mastromatteo is a 5'11 175 lbs WR/DB who had a pretty good day for Rising Stars Blue with several big plays on both sides of the ball. Mastomatteo is signed with D1-FCS program, Coastal Carolina.

Notre Dame Prep 2021 S/WR Clayton Bone had one of the more consistent days on Michigan Elite Silver as the 6' 180 lbs receiver caught a lot of passes and tough ones too. Bone is a good route runner that created separation throughout the day.

West Bloomfield 2020 WR Ethan Bunch is a 6'1 170 lbs receiver prospect who WB head coach, Ron Bellamy says will be the next guy up. It's certainly not shocking to hear that as he's a good athlete with size and has versatility.

Michigan Elite Red had a pair of freshmen who made some very impressive catches and showed their speed throughout the day in Romulus Summit 2022 WR Curtis Crawford and Renaissance 2022 WR Devon Brown.

Grayling 2021 TE Andrew Kanary is a 6'3 210 lbs TE prospect that moves well and caught everything. Kanary created separation well with precise routes. At LB he continued to move well and had a nice PBU. - Z6NE B

Grayling 2021 RB David Milliken is a 5'11 170 lbs ATH who stood out big time for Z6NE B. Milliken moved all over the field and showed his versatility. With his teammate, 2021 QB Hunter Ventline throwing him passes, the chemistry was there and they turned out a big day, going 3-0.

Southfield A&T 2019 WR Saunders Carter who signed with GVSU this week, as expected had a huge day and made some impressive plays and catches for Rising Stars Black.

Ogemaw Heights 2020 DE/TE Jere Gitzinger is a 6'4 230 lbs DE/TE prospect who is likely to receive a bulk of his looks at DE, we saw him camp at DE in December 2018 and he performed well. Over the weekend, he utilized his size and ran well. He definitely showed potential as a next level TE.

Flint Hamady 2020 WR/CB Donnea Brown is a 6' 185 lbs ATH who continuously made plays for 475 B. With a large senior class graduating this year, Brown will need to be a player who steps up, even more, to keep Hamady towards the top.

Offense HM - Mekhi Elam - West Bloomfield, Brenden Teal - Waterford Kettering, James Burnley - Cass Tech, Blaze Lauer - Lake Orion, Chris Coleman - Flint Carman-Ainsworth and Anthony Garrett - Renaissance.

Defensive Showstopper:

Davison 2020 S Caleb Smith is a 5'10 203 S/RB who is not afraid of contact and making big plays as we've seen during the Fall and now. Over the weekend with 475 A, Smith provided more big plays including 2 interceptions and we're told the ball-hawk has over double-digit interceptions in four weeks of play. Smith last week benched 275 five times at his high school. Smith reminds us a lot of current Wisconsin Badgers Safety, Reggie Pearson.

Defensivebacks:

Goodrich 2021 WR/CB Tyson Davis is a 5'9 155 lbs ATH who we could have put at a Slot above but honestly Davis will be a kid who a college won't know if he's a Slot or CB until he gets to their campus. The explosive Davis was outstanding on both sides of the ball for 475 A, but made quite a few more impact plays on defense with an interception and 2 PBU's.

Grand Blanc 2020 CB Myles McNeal is a 5'11 172 lbs lock-down CB out of the Flint area who was playing on Michigan Elite Silver. In one game alone, McNeal had 2 PBU's and 1 interception. During the week, he earned his 3rd offer from Eastern Michigan.

Southfield 2020 CB/WR Jeremiah Piper is 6' 165 lbs ATH who recently picked up his first offer from Western Michigan. Piper is a very athletic player who glides on the field and he had several PBU's during the day.

Harper Woods 2022 CB Christion Stokes made his name as a solid ball carrier for HW last year, but these next 3 years he should be a dangerous weapon in the Pioneers secondary. The 5'11 175 lbs CB didn't get the ball thrown around him much with Rising Stars Grey, but he'll only be getting better from here.

Detroit Cody 2020 S/WR Josh Wiley is a 6'2 200 lbs Athlete who looks every bit that size. Wiley had a nice interception and sniffed out a few other plays from his Safety position. He's a very active and physical player as we've seen during the season who constantly makes plays. - Rising Stars Inner City

Nouvel 2020 CB/WR Zaiden Mitchell had a very good performance for Z6NE A defensively this past weekend. Mitchell plays much bigger than his 5'10 175 lbs size and he has a little burst in him.

Waterford Kettering 2020 CB/WR DJ Hamler is a speedy 5'10 165 lbs CB who isn't afraid to get physical with receivers and he has good ball skills. - Rising Stars White.

Flint Beecher 2021 CB Danny Bradley is a nice & physical CB for 475 A. He covers well and despite being young has some nice physical abilities.

Cass Tech 2020 CB/WR Gmauri Cox is a nice cover Corner out of Cass who had a few nice plays during the day. Has good ball skills to make up for his smaller size.

Flint Carman-Ainsworth 2021 S Jaheem Billingsley is sophomore who did well for 475 B with an interception and a few PBU's as well.

Linebackers:

Detroit Community 2020 DE/TE Latrell Thompkins is a monsterous prospect at 6'4 265 who will surely be a college DE, but he moves so well and stood out big time with Rising Stars Inner City over the weekend. Thompkins was at Delta and Ecorse in 2018 so colleges need to know he's going to be at Community HS!

Farmington 2020 MLB Jordan Turner is a 6'3 220 lbs freak at the position, as we've said for a year now! Turner who has picked up around a half-dozen Power 5 offers this off-season is long, fast, and physical. - Rising Stars White

Davison 2020 LB Logan Pasco is a 6' 205 lbs tackling machine. Pasco is a true football player so you can really see how well he moves in coverage and sideline-to-sideline in 7on7 despite not having INT's or PBU's.

Saint Mary's 2020 LB Garnett Davis is a 6' 205 lbs LB and was playing receiver as well for Rising Stars Grey over the weekend. Davis is a well put together player who runs well and is looking to have a breakout senior season.

Southfield A&T 2020 S/OLB Joe Weaver is 6' 200 lbs S/OLB but has more of the LB build and skill set. Weaver is an aggressive player who jumps the ball well and is physically up there.

Cass Tech 2020 MLB Jason Williams is a 6'1 220 linebacker who has good size and moves very well. Williams is a versatile athlete who closed in on a lot of plays over the weekend and should be another LB with a breakout senior season.

Defense HM - Derrick Webster - Grand Blanc, Owen VanDriessche - Bay City Western, Jaden Mangham - Groves, Roy Keahey - Heritage, and Grant Hart - Grosse Pointe South.
