The Governors of Austin Peay State University are wasting no time recruiting for their Class of 2015, following their impressive 2014 recruiting class that brought down 6 stars from Michigan who signed with the school located in Tennessee. Although it's really early in the recruiting process, the Division 1 - FCS program has offered a handful of Michigan prospects, their first offers. That aggressive style of recruiting by the Austin Peay State coaches continued to Gibraltar Carlson High School, where they offered the Marauders big play RB Marvin Franklin. The offer was initially reported by Allen Trieu of Scout.com before we caught up with Franklin to discuss first football scholarship offer.

The first offer is always one that the prospect will remember, due to either hard work paying off or the school offering first, is the school that gives the player the chance / has faith in them, etc. Franklin was just excited that his offer in general came in, saying, "I was feeling very ecstatic and relieved for my first offer."

The APSU coaches have made an early impression on Franklin who responded with, "I liked that the coaches were interested in me and very informative," when asked how his discussion with their staff has gone.

With the first offer in his pocket, Franklin gained a lot of motivation from APSU offering, "my motivation now is to have the biggest year of my life because I have something to prove to everybody."
