Livonia Franklin was roughed up in the regular season and was put into the playoffs as a 4 seed. The #29 ranked Patriots took out elite teams in these playoffs from Walled Lake Western to Livonia Churchill so when a 12-0 Forest Hills Central team who had not played the caliber schedule as Franklin squared off, let's just say sometimes actions speak louder than words as the Patriots dominated #37 ranked Forest Hills Central.

Franklin RB's Isaac Moore and Julius Simmons combined for 278 rushing yards as Franklin cruised in a game that they were favored to win for the first time in the 2017 playoffs. Livonia Franklin also caused 5 turnovers, 3 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries.

Livonia Franklin will return to the State Championships for the first time since the playoffs started in 1975. In a 2 game playoff back then, Franklin won the Class A Championship over Traverse City Central.

Franklin will meet a highly favored De La Salle team in the Division 2 State Title game on Friday at 1 pm.
