Detroit Catholic Central 2018 OT Nick Carey committed to the University of Toledo on Monday morning over 14 other offers.

The 6'7" 290 lbs lineman is anchoring an offensive line in 2017 at Catholic Central that will look to advance in the state playoffs this upcoming Friday.

Carey has visited Toledo multiple times and attended their camp.

Carey received some bigger offers, but in the end stuck with the 2nd school who offered him back in February, 2017.

8/23/2017: The 6'7" 290 lbs OT is the perfect size for coaches to recruit and Carey backs up his size with results. Carey has started every high school game of his career and has looked impressive in the process. Carey ran wing-t offense in 2016, so we're excited to see what kind of difference CC will have in their scheme with a 6'7" 290 lbs monster on the line.
College interest: Carey holds 15 offers from MAC schools, ACC, Ivy League, etc. you name it.
