Fordson 2022 WR Antonio Gates Jr. is the son of 8x NFL Pro Bowl TE Antonio Gates.

Gates Jr. contributed on varsity all year during Fordson's historic season in which they defeated Cass Tech in the playoffs and 3 months later Gates Jr. is beginning to see his recruiting process speed up.

Surprisingly, it wasn't a local school who offered Gates Jr. first rather it was the SEC's uprising team, Kentucky Wildcats who offered on Thursday afternoon and later in the evening, Florida Atlantic extended an offer which was the first time they've offered a Michigan player since 2013 to Malik Boynton.

Certainly the next 3 years will be an exciting time for Gates Jr. and the Fordson program.
