Nothing has ever come easy for me. I've always had to work harder than what seemed to be the normal at the time. But I now believe this is what separated me from the pack. My work ethic expanded. My determination to win increased. And I excelled.
I play smart, every down, and play the same no matter what the scoreboard may say. I have great situational awareness. I'm coachable. And contrary to the popular belief of most teenagers, I don't know everything.
I'm glad God, or whatever higher being that is out there, gave me an opportunity to pursue something that I love. Yes, I wish I could play forever. But I realize that someday I will have to give this game up, which makes me not take it for granted. That is why it is so special. Playing high school football is an opportunity. An opportunity to work with a great group of guys. An opportunity to excel a something. An opportunity to contribute to a sport that so many people enjoy watching.
It would allow me to continue playing a game I enjoy for another four years- while I obtain an education. What could be better than that? , I work hard. I listen. I am the first one in the building and the last to leave. I strive to learn from both my mistakes and my successes....and I never quit.
