I believe that I have many attributes that separate me from everyone else on the field starting with the fact that I'm a student of the game. I've grown up watching, studying and learning the game which helps me see the game/play before it happens.

I think confidence is another key attribute. I know that when I lineup against someone, I'm going to win that match. This confidence helps me to beat my opponent.

I think that I'm at my best when I'm under the most pressure. Growing up playing for very high level teams in baseball (2 state championships) and hockey (Yzerman/AAA) taught me early how to handle pressure situation, Now I thrive on them.

I have very thick skin. I've been coached by some very tough coaches, so it's extremely difficult to rattle me.

And finally, I'm a team first guy. This suites me well as an offensive lineman, but my goal is to do whatever it takes for my team to win the game. I'm not saying I don't like individual accolades, but I would take a state championship over 1st team all-state recognition.

My coaches over the years have told me that I'm an extremely smart and coachable player that only needs to be told once what to do. While these compliments are great, I play the offensive line with a little nastyness. When I lineup against a defensive tackle, I'm going to drive them off the ball until the whistle blows or stuff them at the line on my pass pro. There's no better feeling the driving a guy off the ball and then pancaking him.

Not being able to play as a freshman was devastating, but I have worked extremely hard to get where I am and where I want to go. Starting on offensive guard as a sophomore at Saline was a great start. As a team, we/I have goals of winning a state championship and will do everything for my team possible to accomplish that goal. Personally,my goal as a junior is to make 1st team all-conference and all district. My goal as a senior to to be named 1st team all-state.

There is almost nothing I want more than to play football at the next level. Since my first day of tackle football in 2nd grade, I knew this is what I wanted to do. I constantly push myself on the field, in the wight room and in the classroom to make sure I'm physically and mentally ready for the game. I would want the coaches to know that with me you get more than just an excellent player that is passionate about the game, you get the true student athlete. I not only want to excel on the field, but in the classroom. I love football, but when I'm not playing I love to play the piano, cello and go fishing.
