The D Zone will be releasing our Top 151 football players in Michigan from the Classes of 2018 to 2020 over the next several days.

The list is based off of our evaluations throughout the off-season and various recruiting events like Mega camps (bigger college camps, Camp Pride, etc. where the top recruits attend and perform vs. equal or better competition played a major role in a lot of our decisions).

Stay tuned also for a major announcement and more rankings to be unveiled exclusively on The D Zone and our social media platforms prior to and during the season.

40. Cass Tech 2018 WR Brandon Gray - Washington State

- After starting as a Freshman at Cass Tech on JV, Gray transferred for his sophomore and junior seasons to Southfield. Gray is back where he started in hopes of having a huge season as the 6'5 180 lbs receiver has yet to crack his potential.

College interest: Bowling Green State offered Gray after his freshman season, becoming the first player in the Class of 2018 to be offered. Washington State this summer became the 15th school to offer Gray and following a visit he committed to WSU.

39. Ypsilanti 2018 OLB/TE Matt Harmon

- Harmon is towering figure at 6'5" 200 lbs and does a little bit of everything on both sides of the ball. Harmon comes to Ypsilanti from Gibraltar Carlson and will have a major effect on edge rushes and a solid option at TE.

College interest: Harmon holds several different offers ranging from; Kentucky to Minnesota to Cincinnati and a few more.

38. Salem 2018 OL Alex Howie

- The 6'5" 300 lbs OL/DT is a reliable blocker that has the perfect size for a Division 1 recruit. Howie moves well on his feet and also uses his hands well to keep defenders ahead of him or on the ground.

College interest: Howie holds 15 offers, most of them are FBS offers and Howie appears to be waiting to show off his senior film before he trims his focus list.

37. Cass Tech 2018 LB Dyontae Johnson - Toledo

- No matter who you talk to about Johnson they always have something new to say about him. At first, people just said he had tremendous potential if he filled up his frame. After an off-season last year, Johnson began to and had an impressive junior season. Now that he's fully bulked up, Johnson can play just about anywhere for Cass Tech so we're expecting a huge senior season.

College interest: Johnson drew a bunch of offers and committed to Toledo before attending any camps this summer.

36. Saline 2019 DB MJ Griffin

- Saline welcomed in former Belleville 6'1" 180 lbs DB MJ Griffin in this off-season. Griffin is a very skilled and balanced CB who does a lot of things right; he covers well, he presses well, and he has good ball skills. Griffin has also added solid weight to remain a physically imposing prospect.

College interest: After racking up a handful of MAC offers, Griffin earned some bigger offers at camps this off-season and will surely be on the shortlist of many top universities these next 2 years.

35. West Bloomfield 2018 WR Taj Mustapha - Wisconsin

- Mustapha is true route technician and has that blazing speed that defenses fear. Mustapha has tremendous chemistry with his QB Bryce Veasley and Mustapha will more times than not break off press coverage and create an open target.

College interest: Mustapha blew up right before camp season and remained hot through the month of June earning a few offers. Following some visits, Mustapha committed to Wisconsin.

34. Bloomfield Hills 2018 QB John Paddock - Ball State

- Paddock can be described as a; coach, leader, and playmaker all in one. The Blackhawks QB is one of the smartest quarterbacks we have ever covered and picks up on anything asked of him and more. Paddock makes all of the throws and always seems to be in sync with his receivers and their routes.

College interest: Schools overlooked the 5'11 QB for some reason when his results spoke enough. Paddock received an offer from Ball State and the next day committed at the end of June. Ball State is getting a steal here.

33. Rockford 2018 QB Jason Whittaker - Northwestern

- Whittaker is a 3-year starter and has all of the tools to successfully fit in at Northwestern. The Big 10 is known for its running teams and that's what Whittaker has managed the past 3 years. Whittaker is a great game manager and has the height at 6'5" to see the field and make the proper read/throw.

College interest: After 3 MAC offers to start his process, Whittaker was offered by Northwestern and committed 2 weeks later on a visit to their campus.

32. Muskegon 2018 OT Antwan Reed - Penn State

- Reed burst onto the scene as a sophomore after being offered by Tennessee midway during his sophomore season. Reed has anchored a dominant Muskegon offensive line since then besides his brief time spent at IMG Academy in Florida. Reed returned during his junior season and was plugged back into the offense that shattered a school record for most points scored in a a season with 681 points.

College interest: Like stated above Reed picked up an early offer from Tennessee and 12 other big programs followed suit. Penn State was the 4th offer to Reed and he committed this past Spring.

31. U of D Jesuit 2018 RB/LB Elijah Collins

- The 6'2" 195 lbs RB/LB has quite the story as he didn't play football his sophomore season. Collins came back as a junior and stepped in for injured players and he did not look back. Collins helped carry the Cubs to a 6-3 record as he was featured as an explosive runningback and a spark-plug at linebacker.

College interest: The little experience Collins had didn't matter as schools were offering during his junior season and his 18 offers range from all over the country now.
