The D Zone will be releasing our Top 151 football players in Michigan from the Classes of 2018 to 2020 over the next several days.

The list is based off of our evaluations throughout the off-season and various recruiting events like Mega camps (bigger college camps, Camp Pride, etc. where the top recruits attend and perform vs. equal or better competition played a major role in a lot of our decisions).

Stay tuned also for a major announcement and more rankings to be unveiled exclusively on The D Zone and our social media platforms prior to and during the season.

- List of complete #1-151 Player Rankings and more

30. Southfield A&T 2019 DB Marcus Fuqua

- In the wave of mass transfers out of Southfield A&T remained stud Marcus Fuqua. Fuqua is an absolute freak athlete at 6'1 180 lbs, but still, can fill up his body weight/muscle to attract more and more interest. Fuqua reads and reacts extremely well in his sophomore season of varsity where he had around 50 tackles and 6 interceptions (2 returned for touchdowns).

College interest: Fuqua has earned over a dozen MAC offers and Syracuse. It's obvious that they're all trying to beat the rush here.

29. River Rouge 2018 TE Lee Payton - Western Michigan

- River Rouge has an absolute freak in their offense with the 6'3" 205 lbs TE/WR Lee Payton. Payton can square you up on blocks when he's in the traditional tight end spot as well as make linebackers look silly. Payton has the unique ability to line up on the outside and create a mismatch when in a receiver formation.

College interest: Payton committed to Western Michigan over a handful of varied offers. Power 5 schools still have to have him on their board until they see his senior film.

28. Oak Park 2020 OL Justin Rogers

- The sophomore lineman is going to finish much higher than #20 following a healthy and dominant season. Rogers at 6'3" 270 lbs is no average lineman and his play is well above average as well. Look for Rogers to contribute anywhere on both of the offensive and defensive lines this upcoming season.

College interest: Rogers first offer was from Kentucky prior to high school in the Spring of 2016 which made him the youngest player to ever be offered out of Michigan. Rogers has now climbed up to 12 offers with the latest being Ohio State.

27. Traverse City West 2018 OT/TE Ryan Hayes - Michigan

- The Northern Michigan product quietly entered the recruiting scene during his junior football season as Central Michigan became the first to offer the OT/TE prospect. Hayes played TE in his high school teams wing-t offense and impressed schools with his athletic abilities.

College interest: From October 2016 to February 2017, Hayes experienced a spike in his recruitment. He committed to Michigan later in the Spring.

26. Walled Lake Western 2019 OT Spencer Brown - Michigan State

- Spencer experienced a huge transition last off-season as he was looking like a TE to a guaranteed Power 5 OT prospect this winter. The former Walled Lake Northern player had such a major body growth that we initially didn't recognize him in January 2017.

College interest: Brown's recruiting process was haywire this Spring as several days there 2-3 schools offering him. Brown decided to commit to Michigan State before the season and is currently the only 2019 commit.

25. Oak Park 2019 QB/ATH Dwan Mathis

- We have seen the growth first hand in Dwan Mathis for a 4th year in a row. Mathis is a bit more polished throwing the ball and has the athletic abilities that just make you say, "wow." We expect Mathis to receive plenty of snaps this year at; QB, WR, and DB. He's too talented of a player to keep on the bench, but Oak Park is deep at receiver anJaeyveon Morton d defensive back anyways.

College interest: Mathis was offered by Akron as an 8th grader and has racked in a variety of 7 others since. The most recent was Michigan State following a July visit.

24. Detroit King 2018 WR/DB Jaeyveon Morton - Iowa State

- When talking about players who make a massive impact, the short list includes Jayveon Morton and there's no second guessing that. Morton was a huge play threat and dominant playmaker on both sides of the ball in 2016. Can you guess what happened when his junior film was released?

College interest: After being offered by Akron as a Freshman it took a 1.5 years before his second offer came from Syracuse the day his junior film was released. Since then over 20 schools offered and he committed to Iowa State this summer.

23. Rochester Adams 2018 DB Vincent Gray - Missouri

- Very few cornerbacks in the state fail to compare to the size and athletic abilities that Gray possesses. Length, size, and speed account for a lot of green check marks or red x marks if lacked by college coaches and Gray should have a lot of bolded green check marks next to his name.

College interest: Gray received his first offer last Spring from Temple. A year later Gray was deciding between 22 different colleges. Gray will head to SEC program Missouri

22. Belleville 2018 CB Davion Williams - Michigan State

- The #2 Senior CB in Michigan nearly didn't even play football as he was once specialized in basketball. Fortunately for Williams' sake he gave football a shot and he wound up excelling in both sports. Williams is a raw, lengthy, and just freak athlete who can cover great and runs like a cheetah.

College interest: Williams received his first offer in December 2016. Since then he has reached 17 total offers from PAC 12 to Big 10 teams. Williams is committed to Michigan State.

21. Country Day 2018 LB Kolin Demens

- Demens is a freak athlete and is the perfect OLB for a team looking for a stud. Kolin's older brother, Kenny Demens played at Michigan so naturally, people compare the two, but Kolin has served up his own reputation as of the states top recruits.

College interest: A year and a half ago, Nebraska was the first school to offer Demens during his sophomore off-season. Schools like; Michigan, UCLA, Michigan State, Kentucky, Missouri, etc. have offered Demens, but it seems like it is a matter of time before he is committed to UCLA unless something new emerges his senior year.
