Saturday, Division 6 Round 3 2017 Playoffs Recap, little drama in two major games
Region 1:
Traverse City Saint Francis traveled to a slightly favored Millington, winning by the score of 33-26. Kohlton Sherman returned 2 kickoffs for touchdowns for Millington but it wouldn't be enough on this night as Joey Muzljakovich 2 touchdowns fueled the Gladiators in the win.
Region 2:
Ithaca and Montague was expected to be a nail-biter, but the Yellowjackets of Ithaca had different plans as they overcame a 1-point halftime deficit and jumped out to a 33-23 win. QB/S Jake Bentley was phenomenal in the win.
Region 3:
The defending champions did not have many issues with the Watervliet offense as Lumen Christi jumped to a 22-0 1st quarter lead and 36-6 halftime lead. The final score was 44-22.
Region 4:
Blissfield has pulled off some crazy upsets this year, but Friday was not their night as the Michigan Collegiate Cougars roared to a 32-6 victory. Incredible senior QB Tracy Hubbard added his 35th and 36th rushing touchdowns of the year.
