Rod Oden named new head coach at Harper Woods (Story)

Rod Oden will be stepping down as the head coach at East English Village Prep. Oden has been the lone head coach at EEVPA since the school merged Finney and Crockett in 2012.

Oden is set to become the head coach at Harper Woods which is just a few miles Northeast of East English Village.

The former Crockett coach has held a record of 46-20 while at East English Village Prep with 2 district championships.

Oden recently retired 2013 graduate Desmond King's #20 at East English Village. King plays on the LA Chargers now.

The Detroit News was the first to report Oden was stepping down.
