Recap of Coopersville's 28-24 win over Allendale

After a scoreless 1st quarter, Coopersville opened the scoring with a 12 yard TD by Riley Johnson. Allendale countered with a 35 yard field goal to make it 7-3. Coopersville responded with a 7 yard TD pass from Johnson to Cayden Schneider. Then with 19 seconds left before halftime, Coopersville pulls a little trickery with a halfback pass for a 17 yard TD from Schneider to Gerrit Buth. Down 21-3, Allendale's halftime adjustments led to 21 unanswered points as the Falcons took a 24-21 lead until Coopersville scored with a Riley Johnson 1 yard TD with 8:56 left in the 4th. Allendale would have 1 last chance, but would throw an interception to Connor Hilton at the goal line with 15 seconds left.
