PSL in-season playoff begins in week 8 with #1 Cass Tech vs. #2 King - Full Details
The Detroit Public School League has released their in-season playoff which features 8 qualified teams. The winners will play at Ford Field next Friday in the following format.
The PSL event will be headlined by a key regular season game between the #1 ranked team in the state of Michigan, Cass Tech vs. #2 ranked Detroit King. The game will take place at Northwestern high school at 2pm on Saturday, October 14th. The winner will play the winner of Renaissance and East English Village Prep who plays at 7:30 pm on Friday also at Northwestern. Kickoff for their city championship will be 7:00 pm on October 20th.
At 5 pm on Friday, Denby will play Delta Prep - that winner will play the winner of Saturday's noon game between Detroit Central and Mumford. The 2nd city championship game will be 4pm on October 20th.
On Thursday at 4 pm the remaining PSL teams will play:
Western International at Northwestern, Cody vs Frederick Douglass at the old Murray-Wright HS, Communications at Henry Ford, Pershing at Southeastern, and Osborn's game is listed as TBD.
