Prospects The D Zone will be seeing on 9/21 (Story)

Week 5 is pound for pound the best week of the season since week 1 as there are a lot of incredible games across all levels of enrollment in the state. We have identified the two biggest ones on Friday which is where we'll be at.

The D Zone staff on Friday will be at: Chippewa Valley at Dakota and Davison at Grand Blanc.

Below are the prospects we're aware of entering the game. We look forward to discovering more talent.

Grand Blanc :

2019 CB Kortez Toles will be the biggest x-factor in this game as the 6'3 185 lbs prospect is the #57 ranked prospect in the Class of 2019. Toles is a long, rangy, and physical CB prospect who will need to defend some passes tonight but with Davison's rushing attack, he'll need to tackle too.

2019 DE/LB Leonard Henry is a versatile 6'4 215 lbs prospect who flies to the ball. He is ranked as the #86 prospect in the class of 2019. Henry will have an active game vs. a Davison offense that can be downhill and stretch outside the Tackles.

2019 OT/DE Jarrett Short starting RT but will be a defensive player in college, 6'4 250 lbs. He is long, athletic and wants it. He was selected by teammates to be part of GB's leadership committee for varsity football. Jarrett is very dedicated, always working to improve.

2019 K/P "ATH" Colton Alexander Played Quarterback, punted, and kicked this season. He used to play CB. Very athletic and understands the game. Also an excellent Lacrosse player. 6'2 185 lbs.

2019 WR Nicholas Erlenbeck is fast, physical and just makes plays. 5'11 180 lbs.

2019 LB/QB Ryder Brotebeck also played QB. He is very tough and looks for contact on every play. Very physical runner. 5'11 205 lbs.

2019 WR Ethan Aspberger is a very good slot receiver. He also worked as a punt returner. Smart, fast, and dependable. 5'11 176 lbs.

2019 RB Gionni Broughton is just growing into his body, long and athletic. Broughton had a great off-season. Blocks and catches the ball well.

2019 TE Cedric Givens is a freak athlete, we found out all off-season in AAU (point guard). Fast and quick. 6'3 225 lbs.

2020 DB Myles McNeal is an outstanding young man who is a very athletic player. He has exceptionally long arms and is very quick. He started at Nickel-back this season. He also plays basketball and track. Grand Blanc head coach, Clint Alexander thinks he will be a very special CB. Potential D1 CB. 5'10 172 lbs.

2020 OG Chris Kipp is a 6'2 235 lbs; mean, tough, and nasty Offensive Guard. He is a relentless worker in the weight room.

2020 WR Mark Miller is a very talented receiver. He is tall, fast, and goes & gets the ball. He is not done growing. Miller has worked as a TE as well. He has outstanding character and leadership skills.

2020 QB Tylor Leedom is an upcoming 6'3 175 lbs prospect who has been excellent at QB for the Bobcats in his first year starting. Has great poise and is accurate.

2020 WR Latrell Fordham 6'4 170 lbs and is an explosive athlete who is a solid vertical threat.

2020 DB Layne Pickard is a vsery smart and tough DB. Ball hawk. Just makes plays. 5'10 160 lbs.


Davison :

2019 QB/ATH Cannon Hall is a hard-nosed 5'11 185 lbs prospect who erupted in his first start as a junior last year and has done nothing but win consistently while at Davison. Hall is not afraid to run between the Tackles or stretch the pocket. Hall is a system QB in college but should make an excellent DB anywhere with his instincts, physicality, and will to win.

2019 RB Michael Jamerson III after sitting out last year due to transferring, the 6' 180 lbs Jamerson has been sensational for the Cardinals. Jamerson has a quick burst, good physical attributes, and some of the best hands you'll find anywhere in the Midwest for a RB. Jameron holds an NAIA offer from Siena Heights.

2020 S Caleb Smith is a 5'10 190 lbs prospect who was key on varsity as a sophomore and is now bigger, stronger, and faster. Smith had a nice off-season and we look forward to seeing how he's come along tonight vs. a very balanced GB offense.

2020 LB Logan Pasco had big shoes to fill this season with the loss of Gabe Ellis to graduation/Grand Valley State. The 6' 195 lbs Pasco has been all over the place with 54 tackles, 9 tackles-for-loss, 3 sacks, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble.


Dakota:

2019 WR Brandon Michalak holds an offer from Michigan Tech and the 6'2 170 lbs prospect has good speed. Michalak has been extremely productive this year with 550+ receiving yards and 6 touchdowns.

2019 WR Dustin Solomon is a 5'10 175 lbs RB/Slot/DB prospect who has strong Division III interest now. Solomon has over 850 yards of total offense with 11 total touchdowns through 4 games.

2019 QB Mark Tocco has had been incredible for the Cougars this year as he has over 1,000 passing yards and 11 touchdown passes. The dual-threat QB is on pace to have a record setting year for the state powerhouse program.

2019 LB Jeremiah Major who is 6'1 245 lbs runs a 4.67 40-yard dash. Major is one of the most productive players and is in on a lot of tackles.

Dakota 2019 DT/OL Riley Orlando is 6' 270 lbs and is a lot to handle up the middle as he sheds blocks well, aggressive, and is hard-nosed.

2020 OT Connor Wolfgang who is 6'4 275 lbs has anchored the Dakota offensive line which is having a prolific season in terms of offensive production.

2020 DE Danny Chaudhry is a 6'3 225 lbs DE prospect who moves well and closes in strong on the ball-carrier.

2019 WR/S Ross Lewalski is a 6' 180 lbs two-way player who is reliable and is a player who could make the big plays when needed.

2021 DB/RB De'javion "DJ" Stepney is a 6' 177 lbs sophomore who has been a very important piece to Dakota's success this year on defense. Stepney will be visiting Toledo on Saturday for his first of many visits.


Chippewa Valley:

2019 OLB Marcel Lewis is the #16 ranked prospect in the class of 2019 by The D Zone and is committed to Michigan State. The 6'2 200 lbs Lewis flies to the ball and has been used as an offensive threat as well.

2019 WR/DB David Ellis Is a well put-together receiver prospect at 6' 195 lbs. Ellis is the #40 ranked player in the class of 2019 by The D Zone and is committed to Central Michigan. Ellis is utilized in the Slot and Backfield, where he uses his speed and physical abilities to make plays.

2019 RB/DB Ja'Von Kimpson is a 5'11 190 lbs prospect that is ranked as the #65 player in the class of 2019 by The D Zone and is committed to Miami-Ohio. Kimpson is a physically gifted athlete, who has a knack for making plays.

2019 QB Tommy Schuster is an outstanding QB at 6'1 195 lbs. Has an ability to make plays regularly, accurate passer, makes a lot of throws with good arm strength, and has a winning mentality. As a sophomore in 2016, Schuster helped snap a 13-year regular season losing streak to Dakota. The D Zone ranks Schuster as the #97 prospect in the Class of 2019.

2019 WR Martice Bunting is a 5'11 165 lbs threat that is one of Schuster's go-to targets through the past 2 years. Bunting has a home-run threat capabilities.

2020 WR Corey Anderson II is a 6'2 185 lbs prospect with good speed and athleticism.

2019 CB Marcel Duncan isn't the biggest prospect at 5'11 160 lbs but has good ball skills and instincts that make him a good cover corner.

2019 RB Andre Chenault is a relentless runner at 5'7 195 lbs who plays much bigger than the size would show. Holds an offer from Siena Heights.
