The D Zone's Jeff Corrion will be covering this key MAC Red game on Friday night at Romeo's Barnabo Stadium located on 29 mile road and Jewell. Dakota (5-1) is the #12 ranked team in the state while Romeo who is also (5-1) is the #23 ranked team. If Romeo and Chippewa Valley win in week 6 it will setup for a winner take all MAC Red championship game between the two teams in week 8.

Below are the prospects we're aware of entering the game. We look forward to discovering more talent.

Romeo:

2019 MLB/RB Brock Horne is the lone player ranked in the state in this game as he's our #15 ranked player in the Class of 2019 and the #1 MLB in the state. Horne is a hard-nosed 6'2 210 lbs prospect who is a sure-tackler, covers extremely well for a LB, and can be a factor offensively as well. He holds 11 various offers and is very close to being offered by Michigan State.

2020 LB Bryce Tinson is a 6'1 215 lbs LB who is someone we look forward to seeing for the first time.

2021 OT Weston Jones is a handful of young potential prospects for the Bulldogs. The sophomore is 6'4 255 lbs and recently visited Michigan State.

2019 TE Eric Fraeyman is a 6'4 225 lbs Tight End prospect who caught our attention as a sophomore. Fraeyman is an athletic TE who can catch and block well. We're honestly dumbfounded that he has no offers yet.

2019 S Ryan Heimbuch is an overlooked Safety prospect and this point, a dual-sport athlete who will be active in defending Dakota's potent passing offense and also needing to worry about their running game.

2019 OLB Cole Karwowicz is a 5'11 180 lbs instinctive and smart LB prospect.

2020 OC/OG Neil Shaw III is a nice 6'1 265 lbs interior lineman prospect who gets after it and is fundamentally solid.

2019 OLB Zef Djurasevic is a 6' 200 lbs OLB with a good motor.

2019 Slot/RB Eric Meldrum is a shifty playmaker who Romeo will use to exploit the perimeter and utilize his speed.

Dakota:

2019 WR Brandon Michalak holds an offer from Michigan Tech and Concordia-Ann Arbor. The 6'2 170 lbs prospect has good speed. Michalak has been extremely productive this year with just under 650 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. Michalak has been one of the most productive receivers in the state this year.

2019 WR Dustin Solomon is a 5'10 175 lbs RB/Slot/DB prospect who has strong Division III interest now. Solomon has over 1,000 yards of total offense and can make plays in all 3 phases of the game.

2019 QB Mark Tocco has had been incredible for the Cougars this year as he has over 1,300 passing yards and 13 touchdown passes. The dual-threat QB is on pace to have a record setting year for the state powerhouse program. Recently picked up a D3 roster spot from Ripon College.

2019 LB Jeremiah Major who is 6'1 245 lbs runs a 4.67 40-yard dash. Major is one of the most productive players and has 70 tackles this year. Major is involved in everything!

2021 DB/RB De'javion "DJ" Stepney is a 6' 177 lbs sophomore who has been a very important piece to Dakota's success this year on defense. Stepney figures to be one of the top sophomores in the state.

Dakota 2019 DT/OL Riley Orlando is 6' 270 lbs and is a lot to handle up the middle as he sheds blocks well, aggressive, and is hard-nosed.

2020 OT Connor Wolfgang who is 6'4 275 lbs has anchored the Dakota offensive line which is having a prolific season in terms of offensive production.

2020 K/P Brady Zarschler has a Division 1 leg. Should draw lots of interest from D1's this off-season.

2020 DE Danny Chaudhry is a 6'3 225 lbs DE prospect who moves well and closes in strong on the ball-carrier.

2019 WR/S Ross Lewalski is a 6' 180 lbs two-way player who is reliable and is a nice possession receiver.

2020 OL Brandon Ross is a 6'3 300 lbs lineman who will be visiting Western Michigan on Saturday, we look forward to seeing how him and OL handle an aggressive Romeo DL and a strong group of Linebackers.
