Waterford Mott scored 35 points in the 2nd half to erase a 14-0 halftime deficit over their rivals, Waterford Kettering and won by the score of 35-21. Senior QB Matt Castillo found fellow classmate WR/DB Kobe Myers with just over 4 minutes left to break a 21-21 tie.

We'll break down their performances below:

Waterford Mott:

2021 DB/WR Quillen Howze who is 6'1 180 lbs is ranked by The D Zone as the #5 player in the Class of 2021 really turned this game around for the Corsairs as he became more active in the passing game and Kettering couldn't quite slow him down. He didn't break for many huge plays but his Yards After Catch really opened up a lot of things downfield for Mott. As a defensive back, Howze wasn't even tested and that was for good reason.

2020 WR Christian Fitzpatrick is a 6'3 205 lbs receiver prospect with excellent hands and route running abilities. Fitzpatrick who holds 7 offers is ranked by The D Zone as the #23 player in the class of 2020. Fitzpatrick had several key catches in the game to move the sticks and a touchdown reception. Showed his reliable hands which are some of the best in the class.

2019 WR/DB Kobe Myers is 6'2 190 lbs and is the #32 ranked prospect by The D Zone for the class of 2019. Myers caught the game-winning touchdown catch with just over 4 minutes left and had some other good catches during the game. As a DB he had some nice tackles vs. Kettering's run-heavy option offense.

2019 LB/RB Luciano Pedini who is 6'1 215 lbs is a prospect who was in on mostly every tackle around the line of scrimmage. Pedini has been one of the most reliable defenders for Mott the past two seasons. Pedini should finish strong in his recruiting process.

2019 WR KaMariell Manley is a nice 6'1 180 lbs receiver prospect with good length and speed, Manley got the Mott offense their first points of the game with a touchdown because on the ensuing kickoff they recovered a fumble on the kickoff.

2019 DB/RB Keimonnee Fields is a nice prospect with good versatility who had to fill in at RB when Marcus Guerrero left the game with an injury. Fields who was having a good game defensively, made some nice runs for Mott to ensure balance on the offense. Fields also had some key tackles including a forced fumble and recovery on a kickoff which turned the game around for Mott.

2019 QB Matt Castillo is a 6' 200 lbs QB who was accurate with his passes, when Mott went to short routes and letting their playmakers make plays, Castillo hit the receivers with good passes to ensure they could make a play. Had great placement on several vertical throws including touchdowns and a very nice rushing touchdown to seal the game. Castillo had 3 passing touchdowns and 1 rushing touchdown in the game.

2021 OLB Jaillen Howze left the game early but had a major impact in the game with several key tackles. The sophomore is 6'1 195 lbs.

2021 DB Keone Sanders entered the game when Jaillen Howze got injured, the sophomore who is 5'7 180 lbs played lights out and was very solid getting to the ball in an OLB role. That type of versatility should go a long way in the future for Sanders.

2020 DE Daytyn LaMontange is a 6'2 185 lbs who was pretty stout in run defense and getting by his blocker.

Waterford Kettering:

2020 CB/RB DJ Hamler is the #44 ranked player by The D Zone in the Class of 2020 and the 5'8 160 lbs ATH had many nice plays for the Captains throughout the game. Hamler scored 2 rushing touchdowns and won some/lost some on coverage vs. Mott's strong group of receivers.

2020 RB/LB Larry Platt was a pretty dynamic athlete at 6'1 175 lbs who Kettering used to compliment Hamler in the running game.

2019 QB/S Ryan Nolan is an instinctive and hard-nosed football player who managed the offense well and got the ball to the playmakers well in short passes.
