OK Conference Top Performers from Week 1

Week one of the high school football season is behind us as teams across the OK Conference made a statement picking up big wins against quality non-conference opponents. Below are the athletes from the OK Conference whose performances stood out the most.

Tim Kloska, RB, West Catholic 2022”

Tim set the West Catholic record for rushing yards in a game with 331 yards on 18 carries. He ran for five touchdowns to go along with his record-breaking performance in West Catholic’s 43-9 win over Forest Hills Eastern.

Nolan Ziegler, WR, GR Catholic Central 2022"

Nolan caught six passes for 130 yards and 3 receiving touchdowns in Catholic Central’s 43-21 win over Lapeer. On defense, he led the Cougars with 13 tackles.

Jackson Gates, QB, Comstock Park 2022"

Jackson completed 12 of 18 passes for 221 yards and three touchdowns, and ran for 82 yards and two touchdowns in Comstock Park's 55-6 win over Grant.

Zak Ahern, QB, Rockford 2022"

Zak completed 16 of 22 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns, and ran 19 times for 156 yards and three touchdowns in Rockford's 44-30 win over Sterling Heights Stevenson.

Hunter Schichtel, QB, Byron Center 2023"

Hunter ran the ball 16 times for 196 yards and four touchdowns. He also completed 9 of 15 passes for 133 yards and one passing touchdown in Byron Center's 42-28 win over Birmingham Seaholm.

Mark Konecny, QB, Mona Shores 2022”

Mark completed 8 of 11 passes for 216 yards and 1 passing touchdown. He also carried the ball 10 times for 96 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns in Mona Shores' 56-14 win over Lowell.

Will Alderink, RB, Holland Christian 2022"

Will ran for 148 rushing yards and four touchdowns in Holland Christian's 59-6 win over Holland.

Jace DeMann, DB, South Christian 2022”

Jace had two interceptions, including a pick-six in the fourth quarter to help seal the 27-2 win over Grand Rapids Christian.

Cebe Hunderman, RB, Zeeland East 2022"

Cebe had 16 carries for 196 yards and one touchdown and a 47 yard punt return for a touchdown in Zeeland East's 45-14 win over Warren Woods Tower.

Jakob Price, RB, Muskegon 2024”

The sophomore running back ran for 2 rushing touchdowns and 168 rushing yards on only five carries in Muskegon's 47-7 win over East Kentwood.

Antwuan Nicholls, RB, Cedar Springs 2023"

Antwuan rushed for 138 yards and scored three rushing touchdowns on nine carries in Cedar Springs' 48-16 win over Saginaw Swan Valley
