As soon as the hand hit midnight on Monday evening, the Walled Lake Central football team was ready to practice.

The Vikings are heavy with talented underclassmen and have a nice blend of upperclassmen leadership/starters at key positions.

The Vikings definite D1 prospect is 2021 TE/DE Blake Nelson who is 6'5 216 lbs and holds an early SEC offer from Kentucky. Nelson added 25 lbs of muscle over the off-season following a Freshman year on Varsity. Now that Nelson has the experience, the expectations are raised and he's anxious to meet & exceed them.

Senior LB/RB Joey Brincat received an offer from NAIA program Lawrence Tech this past weekend and is 5'11 185 lbs. Brincat impressively returns as the team captain after being selected as a junior in 2017. Brincat is a versatile playmaker with his nice physical attributes.

Senior QB Bobby Bourke replaces all-state QB Mike Woolridge (Lawrence Tech) and the 6'3 QB has several nice backs and receivers to get the ball to.

Central will have strong interior line play led by 2019 DT/OG Ken Spratt who has a quick burst off the line and at 6'2 315 is a load to stop.
