Throughout the week, we will provide previews for some of the top matchups throughout each round of the playoffs.

Division 1 Matchup:

Saline (6-3)

Saline only allowed a combined 17 points throughout its last five games, and finished the season outsourcing its opponents, 383-72. With young, elite talent all over the field, this Saline team could steamroll its way through the playoffs. Saline was forced to forfeit their first 3 games of the season due to an ineligible player. Unfortunately for the Hornets, they will unlikely host a playoff game due to the forfeits. Saline have lost to Belleville 3 times in the past 5 postseasons.

Northville (6-3)

After starting the season 2-3, including a loss against Lake Orion, Northville rallied late to close out the regular season with four straight wins. A slim 261-165 points scored against, points allowed means this team can win close games, and plays a lot of them. Northville scored at least 27 points in seven of nine games this season, making them a quietly efficient and dangerous offensive team. The Mustangs reached regionals last season with a 7-2 regular-season record, so this year’s squad will hope for similar results in the playoffs.
