Michigan HS Football Pre-District Preview: Charlevoix vs. TC St. Francis

Throughout the week, we will provide previews for some of the top matchups throughout each round of the playoffs.

Division 7 Matchup:

Charlevoix (6-3)

The Rayders are a tough, battle-tested team that improved as the season went on. They did open the season with a 67-22 loss against TC St. Francis, but this should be a much different matchup a few months later. Charlevoix hung tough against some of the top teams in northern Michigan, proving once again they are an athletic gem in numerous sports. This is their sixth straight playoff appearance.

Traverse City St. Francis (6-3)

Dominant in this matchup early in the regular season, the Gladiators should have tons of confidence. With only one missed playoff appearance since 2013, the Gladiators have proven a consistent and potent football program. St. Francis scored 331 points this fall, including 67 against Charlevoix and 55 in a Week 6 victory. The Gladiators finished with two losses in their last three games, but those losses came against powerhouses Boyne City and Jackson Lumen Christi.
