John Callahan led Loyola to greatness the past few years as the Bulldogs reached the Division 7 finals in 4 of the past 5 seasons. In 2014, Loyola avenged 2 straight losses to Ishpeming by winning the D7 title.

Loyola was 72-9 from 2011-2016 so it was shocking that John Callahan left his position at Loyola last year and then took over the job at New Haven in 2017.

A year later we're back to where we started with John Callahan leading Loyola back to D7 prominence as they went 2-6 in 2017, failing to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2006.
