Grand Blanc wrapped up the SVL-South title on Friday with a 55-49 victory against Davison.

The Bearcats (7-1) earned their seventh straight victory after losing Week 1 against Mona Shores. Davison (6-2) lost for the first time since a Week 1 loss against De La Salle.

With major college prospects all over the field, touchdowns were flying fast as the two teams traded touchdowns in a spirited atmosphere.

The game was tied 21-21 at the end of the first quarter, providing a great glimpse of the entertainment to come.

Davison grabbed a 35-34 lead at halftime. Both teams showcased they could put points on the board, but which team would be able to make a key stop?

Grand Blanc powered ahead 48-35 at the end of the third quarter, somehow keeping Davison off the board.

Davison rallied back, cutting the lead down to six points, but they were unable to complete the rally and earn the win.

Grand Blanc, now officially a state championship favorite, finishes the regular season next week with a matchup against Romeo. Davison wraps up the regular season with a game against Lapeer.
