The 2021 football season is slated to kickoff on August 26th at noon and the action will not stop until Saturday evening. Most of the top 25 teams face tough competition this week and some winning streaks may be snapped early this season.

Below are the prospects we're aware of entering the game. We look forward to discovering more talent.

River Rouge:

2024 WR Nick Marsh returns for his sophomore season and the 6'2 receiver is going to be a lot for opponents to handle. He has over a dozen Division 1 offers.

2022 WR/DB Jalen Holly (Bowling Green State commit) is the most dynamic playmaker for Rouge and will be someone who opponents have to account for each play.

2023 OLB Davon Jackson picked up an offer this off-season after earning 3 last year and offensively should have a big year. 6'4 200 lbs.

2022 DT Davonte Miles should be hungry to dominate after decommiting from Michigan this summer. He picked up some offers following his decommitment and we'll see what happens now.

2024 RB Daivon Hill, 6' 220 picked up a Power 5 offer this summer and has a chance to become the next great runningback out of River Rouge.

2024 WR Jaylen Watson is a long and lengthy receiver who picked up his first offer this summer after a good off-season in 7on7.

2022 S Matt Bennett is a nice and versatile DB who we've seen take snaps at CB and S. He plays aggressive and makes plays.

2022 MLB Jonathan Marshall is a 6'2 235 prototype MLB prospect. He should be making a big name for himself this year.

2022 DT Markee Jones is a massive prospect at 6'1 295 and is too much for OL to handle. He picked up 5 D1-FCS offers this summer.

2022 DE/TE Jaylen Starr is another big-bodied defensive presence for Rouge at 6'3 250 and has strong D-III interest now.

2023 DB Markell Gilford is the next up of great DB's to come out of River Rouge.

2023 QB Christian Johnson is a strong-armed QB who will step in as a 1st-year starter and has some big shoes to fill (which he is capable of doing).

2024 TE Nigel Robinson is a young but high potential prospect at 6'2 220 and looks bigger than his listed size. He moves well and has good hands.

Eastpointe:

2023 WR/S Marquis Campbell will be the big-play threat for the Shamrocks and has excellent ball skills.

2022 MLB/TE John McFolley is an aggressive force, downhill type MLB.

2022 S/WR Demetrius Chase has been productive thus far and with key departures on the team, look for him to step up.

2022 DT Steven Estridge returns as a physical force at 6' 240 and is a tough task for opponents to handle.

2023 OLB Derrick Wallace is a 6' 185 lbs prospect who can open some eyes this week vs. River Rouge.

John McFolley illegally followed multiple coaches (MHSAA link rule) from Eastpointe to Chandler Park Academy. He is no longer on Eastpointe's roster.
