The D Zone will be covering this Friday evening game as Seaholm (7-1) is the winner of the OAA Blue division and Groves (6-2) finished in 2nd place in the OAA White. The winner of this game is important as it will determine the seeding in their Division 2 district because the following week, in the first round of the playoff they might play again. The last time Seaholm and Groves played in the playoffs was 1997. Seaholm won 22-0.

Below are the prospects we're aware of entering the game. We look forward to discovering more talent.

Groves:

2019 CB Khalil Dawsey is the only ranked player in this game as he's the #65 recruit in the state and is currently the highest rated Division 1-FCS commit in the class. Dawsey is committed to Harvard and he's a very solid CB prospect with good physicality, speed, ball/cover skills, and is an all-around gamer.

2019 MLB/TE Joel Mitchell is a late blooming 6'1 240 lbs LB/TE prospect who recently picked up his first offer from Concordia-Ann Arbor.

2019 OLB/S Henry Van Faussien is a 5'11 190 lbs prospect who holds an NAIA offer from Ave Maria and D3 roster spot from Oberlin.

2019 TE Christian Thomas is a nice pass/blocking TE who is 6'3 210 lbs and holds an offer from Urbana.

2020 OLB/S/RB Ralph Donaldson is a 6' 180 lbs speedster who has excelled on both sides of the ball for the Falcons this year. Donaldson pursues the ball well, has excellent sideline-to-sideline speed, and is a sure-tackler. He's definitely a player to watch for in this 2020 class.

2019 RB/S Damonte McCurdy is a 5'10 165 lbs prospect who is very physical and has a knack for getting to the ball. He holds an offer from Clark Atlanta.

2019 OLB/DE Charlie Riddle is a 6'2 210 lbs hard-nosed player who has a very solid burst off the snap and is a threat to cause a lot of disruptions to any offense he lines up across from.

2019 DE Jacob Edelman is a nice and physical 6'3 220 lbs prospect who can shed blocks well and is a sure-tackler. He has 45 tackles on the year, 16 being tackles-for-loss.

2020 QB Markis Alexander is a quarterback with a good release and pretty good arm strength.

2019 WR/S Roger Motley III is a very overlooked three-sport athlete right now. Motley is 6'3 190 lbs.

2020 WR Eli Turner is a 5'11 160 lbs receiver who runs good routes and has good hands.

Seaholm:

2019 QB/LB Gray Kinnie as expected has been a key piece for the Maples through 8 weeks. Kinnie is an experienced field general who can effectively run and throw the ball in Seaholm's option offense. Kinnie is 6'2 210 lbs. Kinnie holds 4 D3 roster spots and 1 NAIA offer.

2019 DT Tre Hairston is a high-motored 6' 250 lbs defensive tackle prospect who moves great and is pretty versatile. He holds a D3 roster spot from Bowdoin.

2019 OG Nicholas Winkler is a 6'4 270 lbs lineman prospect for Seaholm.

2020 DE Sathya Siddapureddy is a 6'4 220 lbs player who has really emerged this year.

2020 S/WR Will Bournias is a 5'10 170 lbs ATH for the Maples who is a fast, instinctive, and hard-hitting player.

2021 OG Caden DeWald is a 6'1 230 lbs interior mauler for Seaholm who is strong at the point of attack. He's consistently blocking on the next level well too.

2020 WR/S Alex Lonze is the Maples big-time vertical threat literally. Lonze is a long and lengthy 2-way player at 6'3 who can win jump balls and high-point the ball well. He's still raw and needs to add weight to his frame.

2021 DT Adham Elsharnoby is a big interior presence for Seaholm at 6'6 330 lbs.
