Game Preview and Prospects The D Zone will be seeing at Grosse Pointe South and St. Clair Shores Lakeview (Story)
Grosse Pointe South is back in action after pummeling Renaissance last week and Lakeview handled Crestwood comfortably as well. Great early season matchup here.
Below are the prospects we're aware of entering the game. We look forward to discovering more talent.
Grosse Pointe South:
2022 DB/ATH Will Johnson is the Blue Devils star and is committed to Michigan. Everything will revolve around Will offensively as he often plays QB and is a big threat to score each play. Defensively he pretty much covers half of the field.
2022 DE Joey Klunder is a PWO commit for Michigan and has a non-stop strong motor. Was drawing heavy FCS interest before committing.
2022 OG/OL Jackson Lambert is a good and versatile lineman who is anchoring the OL for the GPS.
2023 Slot Egan Sullivan returns alongside Will Johnson as their top offensive threat. He's a shifty and smart playmaker.
2023 QB Anthony Bernard - An athletic player who had a nice sophomore season and is more dangerous now.
Lakeview:
2022 WR/OLB Cortez Howard - Big strong prospect who runs well and has good ball skills. Reacts quickly and very underrated recruit.
2022 OT Ethan Gates - Holds a D-II offer and is a very good offensive lineman for the Huskies. He can run/pass block well and has good athleticism.
2022 MLB/RB Karsten Younes - A strong player who is nothing but downhill. A monster in the weight room too.
2022 OG/DT RJ Hancock - Strong and pretty good moving interior lineman who plays aggressive.
2022 OG/OC Parker Engel - Versatile lineman who plays with good technique.
