We missed most of the 1st quarter due to how wild parking was around Michigan Stadium for the opening game of the 2021 season. GR Catholic Central flexed their power late in the 2nd quarter and pulled away in the 2nd half, 43-21

We'll break down top performances below:

Grand Rapids Catholic Central:

2022 S/WR Nolan Ziegler - The Notre Dame commit was a threat in screens and downfield, scoring 3 touchdowns and on defense he is always around the ball with double-digit tackles.

2022 QB Joey Silveri - Prominent 3-year starter and can make pretty much every throw, his placement and arm strength is always excellent. The fact he can run with a purpose makes him much more valuable. It's insane he has 0 D1 or D2 offers.

2022 WR/RB/DB Ronin Russell-Dixon - Provided some big plays in the run game and on quick passes. Defensively he was flying around the ball too.

2022 DE/OLB Brady Redmer - Was a terror on the edge for GRCC all game long. Aggressive and sheds blocks well.

2023 DE/TE Nathan VanTimmeren had some plays in the backfield and was able to have a major impact in this game defensively.

Lapeer:

2022 RB Brayden McKenna - Had some tough runs and broke out a few from contact for extra yards.

2022 OT/DT Dustyn Morell - The Kent State commit had some good blocks and was around the ball a lot on defense. Was being held a lot, but kept going.

2024 QB/DB Zak Olejniczak - Young but will be a very talented player as the year goes on both sides of the ball.

2022 LB Brady Masterson - Seemed to have his number in on many plays around the ball and plays with a chip on his shoulder. A sure tackler as well who could probably move to a hybrid Safety.

2022 OT Garrett Masterson - Had some nice blocks at RT. Kent State commit.
