Cranbrook falters against Riverview Gabriel Richard 42-7; moves on to Week 9 MHSAA action.
The Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Cranes lost a divisional contest to the Riverview Gabriel Richard Pioneers 42-7 at home. The loss moves the Cranes to 2-6 on the year, while Pioneers climb to 4-4.
QB Krish Upadhyay went 20 for 33 on 248 and 1 TD pass. WR Jacob Speller caught 12 passes for 213 yards and 1 TD for Cranbrook.
QB Nick Sobush went 8 for 14 and 148 yards and 2 passing TD’s and 1 rushing TD for Riverview.
The loss to the Pioneers did not diminish the fun of the Annual Friday Night Lights homecoming.
“The environment was great and the team played hard”, said Cranes Head Coach Jonathan Clauss. “They showed how far we’ve come and how bright the future is. I’m so proud of these young men.”
Cranbrook will play their season finale against Detroit Loyola at home.
